Hey, I’m Mariano. I’m a Software Engineer, and I’ve been doing CrossFit for more than five years.
For a long time, I wondered how I could combine my passion for software engineering with my love for CrossFit. Building something for athletes and gym owners felt like the obvious answer.
That sounds pretty good, but the reality is a little simpler: I found most gym management platforms quite BORING. Yes, BORING.
They do the job. You can book a class, check the programming, manage memberships and see your schedule. Those things are important, of course, but I wanted to build something that athletes actually want to open and use — not just another piece of software they need when it’s time to book a class.
That’s why I created Rebirth WOD.
The way I see it, it doesn’t really matter how many reps you can do, or whether you’re doing chest-to-bar pull-ups while someone next to you is doing muscle-ups. What matters most is consistency and making progress at your own level.
And consistency is much easier when athletes feel engaged.
Goals, personal records, achievements, monthly challenges and seeing your own progress give athletes reasons to keep showing up. For gym owners and coaches, that engagement can help build a stronger community and, ultimately, improve member retention.
Rebirth WOD is my attempt to make gym management software useful for owners and coaches, while making the experience much more engaging for the athletes who use it every day.
